Amazon has reviews for at least three different model numbers in this same category. At the time of my research, the 1210 had one four star and the rest five star ratings. This peeked my interest. I'm glad I bought this model.

Every fifty dollar printer I've used in the last decade or so, had only lasted about three years on the average and would barely do what it was advertised to do. I thought I'd spend double that and see if this commercial shredder makes a difference. It definitely does.
So far I am incredibly impressed with the 1210. You can barely hear this shredder run. It's extremely quiet. The first time I used it, was on a fifty minute, none stop run. It performed flawlessly. It ate plastic cards, thick paper, thin paper etc. After I was done, the shredder wasn't even hot. I was putting stacks of at least eight to ten pieces of paper in it at a time. The machine didn't slow down at all. I'm guessing the 1210 could handle an easy twenty sheets at a time or more, if the situation called for it. There was no difference between ten sheets or one sheet. It shredded just as fast for both. No fatigue at all.
The wheels are convenient for moving the unit around and the pull out tray is on two wheel tracks, so it glides quite nicely. Micro shredding is so much more compact, then crosscut and more secure.
When the shredder tells you it's full, just slide out the tray, shake it, then pack the paper down. This will level out the paper pile and fill the bin more. Then keep on shredding. I did this several times during my fifty minute run and only filled one bin.
If I think of anything else, I will update. As of now, I believe this shredder will last for many trouble free years. I'm very happy with this purchase. -

I almost passed on buying this terrific shredder...so glad I bought it! I have put it through a vigorous work out and it’s still running great. It has run for as much as two hours straight and did not over heat. It does shred credit cards just as finely as paper. One review I read said it did not work that way, I actually read on the top where it instructs you to place the credit cards and it chews them into small chunks that if it were not for the color you can’t distinguish from the paper. I have run 8-12 sheets at a time with no problems. I have only had one time that I needed to reverse documents due to overload. It reset and worked great. With heavy loads you can hear a slight change in the motor working but it’s still much quieter than my old shredder. The most important thing to know is to oil the blades with heavy use. It is recommended, but I initially ignored those instructions. What I now realize is it really keeps the paper dust down and extends the life of the shredder -
